Italy

 Herrro friends!

Sorry we are so slow at updating the blog.. I'm sure it has really been hindering you guys from going on with your daily life...
But there have been two updates today, so make sure to check both of them out!

Today we peaced out of Paris and headed over to the boot! Lets just say there was a lot of jean being worn. Spence, my mom and I all sported our jean jackets. Spencer and I were wearing pretty much identical outfits.... I was wearing it first though, Spencer just wants to be like me.

We arrived in Italy in the early afternoon on Sunday and checked into our hotel. It is safe to say that we were all hungry, so we found a place near by and had our first authentic Italian meal. Yay for more carbs!
eggplant
pizza
steak and potatoes

After lunch we found a Launderette to wash our clothes at because they were stankkkkky... do the stanky leg. You would think that after spending a week in Paris we would be pros at not looking like tourists, but nope.. there is really no hope when you wear your suit case as a backpack.

Spencer carried his laundry like this down the street... just blending in..
Once we got to the Launderette it was quite a challenge to try to communicate with the owner. We were so use to trying to communicate with the french that we were unprepared. Fortunately italian is similar to spanish, which justin is fairly good at and we also have a plethora of dictionaries as a back up. My mom ended up whipping one out at the Launderette.

trying to communicate.

After finishing our laundry we were able to meet up with one of my good friends Melissa Gile! She is studying abroad in Rome for the summer and was only a 20 minute walk away from us. So we met at the capitol building and went to go get dinner. We ate at a delicious salad place where the waiter picked on spencer because he sensed that he was a espana fan.

melissa and I ... and spencer..
I forgot to mention that the Eurocup was tonight and the people of Rome were going #CRAY.  Italy vs Spain.  It was great because all day we saw people wearing the italian colors and cars would drive by, honk and wave the flag and everyone would cheer. We ended up watching the game at the restaurant we ate at because someeee people in our group didn't want to go to the place where everyone in Rome was watching it.. It was still fun watching it at the restaurant though, because there were a couple Espana fans and they were going crazy because they won 4-0.. not a good night to Italy. Everyone else in the restaurant would shoot glares in the direction of the Espana fans every time they scored.  Although they lost (and Jenny and I are no longer friends), it was still so great to see how the whole city was into this soccer game.
On our walk back to our hotel Justin randomly ran into a girl that he works with on the street. Talk about small world. Neither of them had any idea that they were in Italy.

Anywho that was our day. It has been great so far and I cant wait to see what tomorrow brings!

P.S. ...I'll just leave these here....

p.s.s I MISS YOU GUYS!
