Catching up!

'Ello Paupet.

Before I begin, I wanted to address the issue of commenting. I know some people were having an issue with commenting on the blog... well, that was my bad (Sorry, Nana). I have now set it so that anyone can comment whenever they'd like.

Now for a little recap of my personal experiences in Monterosso and the great city of London.

After a week and a half of constant walking, sightseeing, hustle, and bustle, I cannot begin to tell you how excited I was to get off the train in Monterosso to be greeted by this:
mmmm. BEACH

I could literally feel the exhaustion begin to melt away. It was about time for some relaxation, Eble style. Obviously, as soon as humanly possible, we got down to the beach and spent the majority of our time reading, swimming, cliff jumping, napping, and simply soaking up the sun. After three days of relaxation, with a little exploration, souvenir shopping, and hiking spattered throughout, it was about time to head to London.

Hey there, little guy!

This is what I meant by "Eble style"

The best part was when some lady leaned over him to take a picture. ha.

Ok, so this is in Rome, but it reminded me of Assassin's Creed, so I needed to post it.

Via di Amore

For my married friends, Shane and Jennah Pech!

Fortunately, I was able to finish the book I was reading (below left) just before the plane touched down on English soil. The best thing is, have been reading nothing but British authors since setting out on this trip!
Seriously, if you haven't read the Space Trilogy, it's a must.

Who could stay away from Holmes when traveling to London?

London, talk about a climate shock. Going from 85 and tropical to 55 and raining is seriously confusing on the body; however, it was kind of nice to be back in a populated area. Being able to walk the streets while blending in to the crowd of people who speak your own language is a nice change. The people of London have a pretty good resemblance to the people of Seattle: varied styles of dress for a wet climate, decently friendly, and fairly health conscious lifestyles (from what I can observe) seem to be the norm, although their accents are much better than ours.
We have seen some pretty cool things walking the streets; interesting art, gigantic ferris wheels, fuzzy hats, the Globe, and some pretty cool English pubs.

So much better in England. I'm not joking...

Tonight is my kind of night. We (Mom, Spencer, and I) are headed back to the Globe Theatre to see Henry V. Yes, I'm nerdy, but I love Shakespeare. I'll definitely be telling you all about it later.

Seriously. The hats are fuzzy.

London

hi guys.

After a morning of porridge(which tastes like weird oatmeal) and fruit we were off to explore the city once again. We walked over to the london eye (ferris wheel) and joined the clusters of other people in line. This ferris wheel is huge, you can see the whole city from the top and thankfully then sun came out for us for a bit.

The ride lasted about 40 minutes and as were were getting off we saw a group of teenage girls crying. not sad crying, but more of a hysterical omg i just saw someone famous cry. They were crowding and  pointing at the screen where pictures of people in the ferris wheel show up and crying... later my dad told me that the main actors from the new movie magic mike were in town and he said they could be up there.... if i would have know that I would have been in that group of crying girl.... jokes.

After the wheel we took a cab over to a different part of london to get some lunch. Let me first just say that the cab drivers here are awesome! Mostly because they have really cool accents but also because they know there way around the city and are great at recommending places to go and things to see. These cab drivers are no where near cab drivers in america, they actually know how to drive...
so i was gonna give you a short little clip of an example of they accent... but it wouldn't upload. dog darn.

Anyways. The cab driver suggested a pub in the area were wanted to go, so of coarse we went there. It was tucked away in this little marina surrounded by large yachts and ships.

pub where we ate

boys waiting of us girls... what troopers.

Lunch was delicious to say the least. Fish and chips (literally a whole fish), jerk chicken and chips, tomato and basil soup (much better then spu's I must say) and chicken Cesar salad. ya it was good.

After lunch we walked over the tower bridge, which is where they have the olympic rings hanging. The bridge has a great view of the river, although it is quite brown.. totes wont go swimming in that.

WOW right?

we made our way to a little park next to the tower bridge and tried to figure out what to do next... but instead we all passed out.

We ended up checking out the shopping around our hotel and picking up something to make for dinner. Spencer was the only one who got something shopping.. pics to come I'm sureeee.
but we picked up some food from the grocery store, clothing store... sounds a lot like fred myer, except there are no big isles to separate the food from the clothes.. once you get your food you walk straight through the clothes to get out of the store..muy interasante i know.
so we ended up with chicken salad... shocker right? but when we went to wash the lettuce it was connected to a square of dirt...lolwut. so we ate that too.. mmm protein...

welp that was our day.  dueces.
