London

hi guys.

After a morning of porridge(which tastes like weird oatmeal) and fruit we were off to explore the city once again. We walked over to the london eye (ferris wheel) and joined the clusters of other people in line. This ferris wheel is huge, you can see the whole city from the top and thankfully then sun came out for us for a bit.

The ride lasted about 40 minutes and as were were getting off we saw a group of teenage girls crying. not sad crying, but more of a hysterical omg i just saw someone famous cry. They were crowding and  pointing at the screen where pictures of people in the ferris wheel show up and crying... later my dad told me that the main actors from the new movie magic mike were in town and he said they could be up there.... if i would have know that I would have been in that group of crying girl.... jokes.

After the wheel we took a cab over to a different part of london to get some lunch. Let me first just say that the cab drivers here are awesome! Mostly because they have really cool accents but also because they know there way around the city and are great at recommending places to go and things to see. These cab drivers are no where near cab drivers in america, they actually know how to drive...
so i was gonna give you a short little clip of an example of they accent... but it wouldn't upload. dog darn.

Anyways. The cab driver suggested a pub in the area were wanted to go, so of coarse we went there. It was tucked away in this little marina surrounded by large yachts and ships.

pub where we ate

boys waiting of us girls... what troopers.

Lunch was delicious to say the least. Fish and chips (literally a whole fish), jerk chicken and chips, tomato and basil soup (much better then spu's I must say) and chicken Cesar salad. ya it was good.

After lunch we walked over the tower bridge, which is where they have the olympic rings hanging. The bridge has a great view of the river, although it is quite brown.. totes wont go swimming in that.

WOW right?

we made our way to a little park next to the tower bridge and tried to figure out what to do next... but instead we all passed out.

We ended up checking out the shopping around our hotel and picking up something to make for dinner. Spencer was the only one who got something shopping.. pics to come I'm sureeee.
but we picked up some food from the grocery store, clothing store... sounds a lot like fred myer, except there are no big isles to separate the food from the clothes.. once you get your food you walk straight through the clothes to get out of the store..muy interasante i know.
so we ended up with chicken salad... shocker right? but when we went to wash the lettuce it was connected to a square of dirt...lolwut. so we ate that too.. mmm protein...

welp that was our day.  dueces.

  2. Too late now, you are on your way home. But, I loved every post. Thank you for doing it. You will be so glad you can look back on it 5, 10, 15, 20 years from now and remember when your family went to Europe.

    I love you all
